My family and I recently travelled to the Panhandle beach area in Florida. Our Stay and experience was phenomenal. We stayed at the The Point Resort.
Everything about the resort was excellent. We stayed in a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom condo. Our condo came equipped with a full kitchen, washer and dryer. The resort has a pool, hot tub and a rooftop BYOB lounge area. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. We prepared most of our meals in the home during our stay, another money saving tip for those traveling with a large family.
The Pointe resort is centrally located to 3 beaches; Destin (40 min drive), Panama City Beach (15 min drive) and Rosemary Beach (We visited all three beaches while we were there. They were all beautiful with emerald green clear waters and sugar white sand. Below is a short clip of the video I recorded at Destin Beach.
Just thought I share a few tips for anyone taking a beach vacation;
1.SUNSCREEN I apologize for having it in caps but I cannot emphasize that enough. Florida is called a sunshine state for reason. My sister had sunburn just from being outdoors without sunscreen for 12 mins.
2.Rent a home: Saves on restaurant spending because you can prepare most meals in the home. It is also very convenient when it comes to linen because you will have the washer and dryer right within the home not having to depend on house keeping.
3.Do your research about the place you intend to stay during your trip. I know most people are not into reviews but they do genuinely help at most times and may save you time and money.
4.Enjoy each other’s company. Take time away from your gadgets and enjoy some bonding time. A great game that’s fun and kid friendly is Heads Up, they have an app you can download.
